Well, now that EPIC rink is officially closed until May 1st and PSD schools are closed for the rest of the year, we know a lot of skaters are getting antsy and probably a little bored. But our skaters are stepping up every day to help!
As you know, skaters and coaches have been hosting live sessions every Tuesday through Saturday at 4:00 p.m. on Zoom or other streaming platforms with challenges, tips, workouts, and EP practices. Thanks for joining us!
Unfortunately, the YouTube Live approach was a total fail – for some reason, YouTube’s automatic algorithms decided live-streaming a workout violated their terms of service (?!) and the fix is far away, it seems. So we’re using Zoom, but haven’t recorded the sessions for later viewing.
That’s about to change! We’re going to screen-record the workouts and challenges and then post them to YouTube as uploaded videos, which should not give us the same troubles as the Live did. (We’ll see…)
If you haven’t been tuning in, we sure hope you can start doing so! Zoom is free to download and easy to use, and because we’re not distributing the link widely there aren’t the security issues of “zoom-bombing” some schools etc. have reported. We’re taking all measures to make sure the sessions are private and safe.
We are a community here at EPIC Productions, and if you are struggling during this time for ANY reason, please reach out and let us know. We can come together to help. After all, that’s what communities do. Please don’t hesitate to email Rosa or Marianne if you need anything!
Stay connected, stay safe (lots of sleep and water!), and Dr. Rosa says, don’t stress too much about keeping a perfect schedule. Family and health come first!
Meanwhile, come dance with me!
