About the 2022 Season
USFS has announced the location for the next National Showcase competition will be it will be in Wesley Chapel (near Tampa), Florida, August 2-6, 2022.
Rehearsals during the school year will start in early March and likely be 1 hour per week on Saturday mornings. In the summer, we’ll have 3 on ice practices per week, most likely on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings 7:00 – 8:15 a.m.
We hope to have the opportunity to perform the large ensemble at the rink’s spring show again this year in 2022. We will NOT have ensembles performing at Fort Collins Classic.
About the Casting Call
Sign-ups are due by January 5th. The casting call is conducted in groups of skaters, organized by level. You will not skate an individual program. You’ll be asked by coaches to perform jumps, spins, theatrical tricks, and an interpretive group skate.
The purpose of the casting call is to place skaters into roles for the large and mini ensembles, as well as create choreography that best suits the skaters. Placements are based on skating level, skill, age, size, and the number of skaters.
